This year the event again will take place north of Lake Havasu City limits. It will start at Anderson Toyota, run desert trails up to Topock 66 and back to Anderson Toyota. During the event, lunch will be served, raffle prizes handed out along with a wining poker hand prize.
Although the hallmark event of October – the London Bridge Days and the iconic Parade – has been cancelled, the Fall Season in Lake Havasu City is not all gloom and doom.
Several standard local events are expected to be celebrated.

The London Bridge Renaissance Faire and Joust is set for Sept. 25-27 at the SARA Park Rodeo Grounds. In its fourth year, the 2020 London Bridge Renaissance Faire and Joust will feature stage and street performers in period costumes, bring medieval history to life in a fun and dramatic way.

The local favorite Desert Storm Poker Run and Shootout follows Sept. 30-Oct. 4.

The event features some of the nation’s top performance boats and always brings out enthusiastic crowds.
October kicks off with the 38th Annual Home Show Oct.2-4. Sponsored by the Colorado River Building Industry Association. The Home Show is billed as the city’s premier consumer event.

The IJSBA 2020 Thai Airways World Finals are set to happen Oct. 5-11, featuring more than 750 of the world’s best personal watercraft racers from around the world.
Rounding out the October schedule is the 43rd Annual Relics and Rods Run to the Sun. The event is set to take place Oct. 21-25. Run to the Sun is one of the largest car shows in the Southwest and is one of the most popular events of the Fall Season.
Relics and Rods secretary Sheri Lawrence said the organization is still in the planning stages but spreading the event out on Bridgewater Links and the London Bridge Resort should help facilitate social distancing and ensure safety of the car enthusiasts who attend.

Watch this space for more details about the events that remain on the Fall Schedule as their scheduled dates approach. RiverScene Magazine will publish, times, admission fees and more as the events near. There may be other events that have not been announced to be cancelled or set for celebration at press time.
Among some of the events that have fallen to cancellation is the Zombie Pub Crawl. It is unknown at this time whether Fright Night on McCulloch Boulevard and the Pumpkin Festival have been/will be celebrated.

Run to the Sun Car Show Event
The Run to the Sun Chairmen met with our host hotel, London Bridge
Resort, on September 1, 2020. A joint decision was made to cancel our
show scheduled for October 21 – 25, 2020. It was determined that all of
the stringent CDC Corona Virus guidelines for special events could not
be achieved. The decision was made to insure the safety of all personnel
involved as well as participants and spectators attending the event.
We have already begun to work on a bigger and better show for 2021.
